In a small office in Juba, AJIZZ leans forward when he talks, his voice calm but deliberate.
“Music was my starting point. But I always wanted to build things that bring people together.”
— AJIZZ
Born and raised in Bor Town, South Sudan, AJIZZ’s journey began long before the spotlight. As a young creative, he developed a passion for writing and storytelling, eventually publishing poetry and exploring social issues affecting his community. His early creative expression later evolved into music, where he found a new way to connect with people.
Before becoming known as AJIZZ, he performed under the nickname “Mr. Freezy” during his high school years, a name inspired by his admiration for Chris Brown alias "Breezy." But when he began pursuing music professionally, he chose a name that carried a deeper personal connection.
The name AJIZZ comes from his Dinka birth name, Ajith. In Dinka, “Ajith” refers to a rooster, while the modern spelling “AJIZZ” gives the name a contemporary artistic identity while keeping its cultural roots.
From Poetry and Hip-Hop to Afro-Pop and Afro Jambas
AJIZZ describes his sound as a reflection of different influences that shaped him over the years.
A singer, songwriter, and former rapper, he blends Afro-pop, hip-hop, reggae influences, and South Sudanese traditional sounds into his music. One of his unique approaches is incorporating local South Sudanese drums into modern productions, creating a style connected to what he describes as Afro Jambas.
His music represents both his personal growth and his connection to culture.
While his earlier writing focused heavily on social and political themes, including peace, unity, and community issues, his current musical direction focuses more on emotional storytelling, love, and melodies that connect with the younger generation.
For AJIZZ, music serves two purposes: a platform to entertain and a way to communicate messages that matter.
“Amazing Grace” and the Rise of a New Generation Artist
Among AJIZZ’s growing catalogue, “Amazing Grace” stands out as one of his biggest milestones.
Released in early 2025, the song quickly gained attention across digital platforms, becoming one of the leading songs in the region. The track performed strongly on platforms including Audiomack, YouTube Music, and Spotify, pushing him pass one million plays on Audiomack.
Following the success of “Amazing Grace,” another fan favorite, “Unshakeable Love,” continued strengthening his presence. The love song combines modern melodies with traditional South Sudanese drums, creating a sound that connects with audiences both locally and internationally.
AJIZZ also gained attention with the remix of “Banana” featuring African-American artist JELEEL, reimagined as “Hello Nyan Muonyjang” in Dinka. The song gained popularity across platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, further expanding his reach.
One of his memorable performances came in September 2023 in Bor, his hometown, during the Nurdu Concert following the release of his EP LOML. The event became one of the defining moments of his early music career.
The Birth of VictoryLab Agency
While many know AJIZZ as a musician, his journey into technology began years earlier.
Around 2015, AJIZZ was introduced to computers through his father’s stationery business, where he encountered printing, typing, and basic computer operations. What started as curiosity gradually became a long-term relationship with technology.
More than a decade later, that curiosity developed into a deeper interest in coding, digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and software development.
“It wasn’t a sudden switch. It was years of curiosity, then practice.”
— AJIZZ
While recording music and building his artistic career, he was also spending years behind a computer, learning and experimenting. In 2024, he began exploring coding more seriously while continuing his work as a musician.
Eventually, he reached a point where he wanted to transform that knowledge into real projects.
His first personal technology projects included building his own website and creating a music web hub where fans could discover his work and support his music directly.
That journey later expanded into client projects, beginning with T&M Grills, a hospitality business project, followed by Bro Winner’s artist website, Super Star FC's club website and other creative technology projects.
From VictoryLab Music Group to a Full Creative Agency
Before VictoryLab Agency existed, VictoryLab Music Group operated as an independent label managing AJIZZ’s music publishing, distribution, and artist-related activities.
By early 2025, AJIZZ saw an opportunity to bring his different creative skills under one umbrella.
VictoryLab Agency was officially established around March 2025, expanding beyond music into a broader creative and technology company.
The agency brought together multiple divisions, including:
VictoryLab Music Group — supporting artists through music publishing, distribution, artist development, and creative services.
VictoryLab Tech — building websites, digital platforms, and technology solutions for businesses, schools, and organisations.
VictoryLab Imaging — providing visual branding, photography, and creative media services.
Additional creative services supporting branding, marketing, and digital communication.
For AJIZZ, the idea was simple: creative solutions should not exist separately.
“A company shouldn’t have to hire a separate web developer, marketer, photographer and music promoter who've never spoken to each other. Everything should work together under one agency.”
— AJIZZ
Building a One-Stop Creative Partner in South Sudan
AJIZZ believes what separates VictoryLab Agency from traditional companies is its ability to combine multiple services under one roof.
Rather than focusing on only one area, the agency works across technology, branding, media, and entertainment.
The goal is to become a trusted partner for businesses, artists, schools, and organisations that need complete digital solutions.
“The team is knowledgeable, responsive, and able to deliver different services together.”
— AJIZZ
Through its growing list of clients and projects, VictoryLab Agency continues expanding its presence in South Sudan’s creative and technology space.
The Vision Beyond Music and Technology
Looking ahead, AJIZZ’s vision extends beyond his own career.
For artists, he wants to create more opportunities for South Sudanese creatives to reach wider audiences through digital platforms, distribution, promotion, and professional branding.
Having become one of the early artists in Juba to build an official personal website and digital music hub, he hopes to help more creatives establish their own online presence.
On the technology side, AJIZZ is focused on creating digital solutions that support businesses, startups, and everyday activities across South Sudan and East Africa.
One of his most ambitious projects is Sudo, a social platform designed for South Sudanese users.
Currently in testing stages, Sudo aims to provide features including communication, entertainment, messaging, short videos, and real-time connections.
For AJIZZ, the project represents more than just technology. It represents the possibility of South Sudanese creators building solutions for their own communities.
A Creator Still Building
Throughout the interview, AJIZZ returns to one central idea: creation.
Whether through music, poetry, websites, or digital platforms, his journey has always been about building something meaningful.
“Whether it’s art or software, I just like building things that last.”
— AJIZZ
From holding a microphone as a young artist to sitting behind a computer building digital solutions, AJIZZ represents a new generation of South Sudanese creatives — individuals who are not only telling stories but also creating the platforms where those stories can live.
VictoryLab Insights continues following the journey of AJIZZ as he bridges music, technology, and innovation in South Sudan’s evolving creative landscape.
